Learning Center

Students are encouraged to visit the Learning Center for academic skill support. The Learning Center’s goal is to help students improve their grades by offering workshops and a variety of student resources. It is also a welcoming space to study, conduct research, and check out books. All support services are free.

Workshops
The Learning Center offers a variety of workshops designed to support students in the following areas:
  • Writing skills
  • Study skills
  • Note-taking strategies
  • Test-taking strategies

In-Person Resources Available in the Learning Center
Students may access the following resources while using the Learning Center:

  • Desktop computers and Wi‑Fi access
  • Textbooks on reserve
  • ESL resources

  • Books
  • Student ID assistance

Hours of Operation

Monday–Wednesday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Closed: 10:00–10:15 a.m., 12:00–12:30 p.m., 3:00–3:15 p.m.

Thursday
11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Closed: 1:00–1:15 p.m., 3:00–3:30 p.m., 5:00–5:15 p.m.

Friday
7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Closed: 10:00–10:15 a.m., 12:00–12:30 p.m., 3:00–3:15 p.m.

Location

The Learning Center is located at Baldwin Park Adult & Community Education (Main Campus), Room 15.
