Learning Center

Students are encouraged to visit the Learning Center for academic skill support.  The  Learning Center goal is to assist students achieve improved grades by offering free tutoring, workshops and a variety of student resources.  It is also a great place to study, research and check out books.  All support services are free.

 

Tutoring Sessions

To make the most of your tutoring session, bring your study materials and questions. Your tutor will help you identify and discuss your learning goals, assist you with problem areas of study and help you  find resources for added practice outside of school.   Sessions will run for 45 minutes.  Please arrive on time and notify the Learning Center if you need to cancel your session. Walk-in appointments will be available if time permits.

 

Workshops

The Learning Center offers a variety of workshops to help students in the areas of writing, study skills and note and test-taking strategies.

Hours

Monday through Wednesday

8:00 am to 4:30 pm

(Closed between these hours: 10 am—10:15 am, 12 pm—12:30 pm and 3 pm—3:15 pm)

Thursday’s

11:00 am to 7:30 pm

(Closed between these hours: 1 pm—1:15 pm, 3 pm—3:30 pm and 5 pm—5:15 pm)

Friday’s

7:30 am to 4:00 pm

(Closed between these hours: 10 am—10:15 am, 12 am—12:30 pm and 3 pm—3:15 pm)
