Automotive Services

Learn the skills deemed necessary to work in the Automotive Service field. This course is taught by an ASE Certified Master Instructor.  Your training during this course will be delivered individually and group training to further your automotive skills development.  You will be able to work on your own car and perform maintenance on customer vehicles.  Students must have black spill/oil resistant shoes.  Students will also receive a personal tool set at the beginning of the course.

1st Quarter (8/17/2023 - 10/21/2023)

  • Automotive Transmission/Transaxle (Automatic)

2nd Quarter (10/23/2023 - 1/13/2024)

  • Manual Drive Train & Axles
  • Engine Repair

3rd  Quarter (1/16/2024 - 3/23/2024)

  • Electrical Systems
  • Engine Performance

4th Quarter (3/25/2024 - 5/31/2024)

  • Suspension & Steering
  • Brake Systems

5th Quarter Summer Session (6/3/24 - 6/28/24)

  • ASE Certification Review
  • Summer Fee: $1,239.00

Class Fees:

Registration Fee (per quarter) $1,548.75.  The Automotive Services course is a 950-hour program (4 quarters) with a completion of the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE – student test version) certification review and the completion of eight certification areas.  Estimated total cost, including books and supplies, is $6,210.00. 

 

BPACE - Student Accident Insurance:

Student Accident Insurance is required for all students enrolled in Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, containing a clinical component and other programs with a safety requirement.  The fee must be paid each year of enrollment (July 2023 to June 2024 - $15.00)

Financial Aid:

Financial Aid services are available.  A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid.  Federal Pell Grants usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or professional degree.  Grants start from $750.00 to $7,395.00 and students are able to apply online (click this link to go to our Financial Aid Section).
