Cosmetology

This new certified course is a 1000 hour program.  It is designed to prepare students for employment in the cosmetology industry including preparation for the State Board Exam.

 

Students will receive professional training in:

     • Cutting and Styling Hair    
     • Skin Care
     • Make Up
     • Manicures and Pedicures

Program

The full time course will take 3 quarters to complete.  Estimated total cost including books and supplies is $3,608.97

 

Schedule:

Monday – Friday:  8:00 am to 4:30 pm

 

Registration Fee:

$610.00* (Fees are paid quarterly does not include books and supplies)

 

*Additional expenses for program:

Cosmetology kit is $1,012.00 and includes the English text (Spanish books are extra cost).  The Job Hunting Handbook $8.00.  Purchase is required.  Kits and shirts must be purchased the first day of each quarter.  State Board test registration fee:  $125.00;  additional supplies:  $618.97; including uniforms.  Minimum order of 2 black BPACE t-shirts per level and 1 sweatshirt (freshman level).

BPACE - Student Accident Insurance:

Student Accident Insurance is required for all students enrolled in Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, containing a clinical component and other programs with a safety requirement.  The fee must be paid each year of enrollment (July 2023 to June 2024 - $15.00)

 

Financial Aid:

Financial Aid services are available.  A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid.  Federal Pell Grants usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or professional degree.  Grants start from $750.00 to $7,395.00 and students are able to apply online (click this link to go to our Financial Aid Section).
