Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC)

As the number of efficient and environmentally sound heating and air conditioning solutions continue to grow, so does the demand for residential and commercial heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) technicians.  This course is designed to prepare student for the EPA 608 Certification and employment in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning field.

  • Students may receive college credit at Mount San Antonio college
  • Students must have black spill/oil resistant shoes.
  • OSHA-10 certification included

 

Recommended:

Assessment in reading and mathematics.

 

Class Fees:

Registration Fee (per quarter) $287.50.  The Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) program is a 710-hour course (4 quarters).  Additional expenses:  Books and computer/Chromebook $179.00; materials, supplies and uniform (approx.) $1,035.01.  Total estimated cost of this program is $2,490.00.

New Morning Class:  Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

 

Afternoon Class:  Monday – Thursday, 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm

BPACE - Student Accident Insurance:

Student Accident Insurance is required for all students enrolled in Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, containing a clinical component and other programs with a safety requirement.  The fee must be paid each year of enrollment (July 2025 to June 2026 - $15.00)

 

Financial Aid:

Financial Aid services are available.  A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid.  Federal Pell Grants usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or professional degree.  Grants start from $740.00 to $7,395.00 and students are able to apply online (click this link to go to our Financial Aid Section).
