Cosmetology

This course is a 1000 hour program.  It is designed to prepare students for employment in the cosmetology industry including preparation for the State Board Exam.

 

Students will receive professional training in:

     • Cutting and Styling Hair    
     • Skin Care
     • Make Up
     • Manicures and Pedicures

Program

The full time course will take 3 quarters to complete.  Estimated total cost including books and supplies is $3,608.97

 

Schedule:

Monday – Friday:  8:00 am to 4:30 pm

 

Registration Fee:

$610.00* (Fees are paid quarterly does not include books and supplies)

 

Additional Expenses for The Program:

Cosmetology kit is $1,116.79.  Kit includes the English textbooks (Spanish textbooks are available at an additional cost) and the Job Hunting Handbook.  State Board test application fee:  $125.00.  Additional required supplies, including uniforms:  $522.18.  Uniform minimum order of 4 black BPACE shirts and 1 sweatshirt.  New students must purchase kit and uniforms at the time of registration.  Purchase of cosmetology kit is required. Kit and uniforms are non-refundable.

BPACE - Student Accident Insurance:

Student Accident Insurance is required for all students enrolled in Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, containing a clinical component and other programs with a safety requirement.  The fee must be paid each year of enrollment (July 2025 to June 2026 - $15.00)

 

Financial Aid:

Financial Aid services are available.  A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid.  Federal Pell Grants usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or professional degree.  Grants start from $740.00 to $7,395.00 and students are able to apply online (click this link to go to our Financial Aid Section).
