Medical Billing & Coding

This new 610 hour training program in medical billing and coding is designed to equip students with the essential skill and knowledge required to excel in the healthcare industry.  This comprehensive course covers the fundamentals of medical terminology, coding systems as ICD-10, CPT and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), as well s the intricacies of billing processes and insurance claims.  Through a blend of theoretical instruction and practical, hands on experience, students will learn to accurately code patient diagnoses and procedure, manage billing software and navigate the complexities of healthcare regulations.

 

Recommended:

Assessment in reading and mathematics.

 

Registration Fees:

$350.00*  (Fees paid quarterly and does not include books and supplies)

 

Additional Expenses:

Books $444.97; materials and supplies $166.00.  Total estimated cost of attendance is $2,200.97.

BPACE - Student Accident Insurance:

Student Accident Insurance is required for all students enrolled in Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, containing a clinical component and other programs with a safety requirement.  The fee must be paid each year of enrollment (July 2023 to June 2024 - $15.00)

 

Financial Aid:

Financial Aid services are available.  A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid.  Federal Pell Grants usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or professional degree.  Grants start from $740.00 to $7,395.00 and students are able to apply online (click this link to go to our Financial Aid Section).
